About us

These Terms apply to purchases directly from and use of killifishpublishing.com. Killifish Publishing is operated by Black Jade Investments LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). You can reach us through our contact page or the contact details below.

Our checkout and subscription services are intended for adults aged 18 or older. An adult must make purchases and submit subscription forms. When purchasing, you agree to these Terms as presented at checkout.

Digital products and delivery

Products identified as digital downloads are electronic files. No physical book will be shipped. Review the product description, file format, and device or printing requirements before purchasing. PDF products require a compatible PDF reader; printing requires a suitable printer or printing service.

After successful payment, we provide access using the delivery method stated at checkout. Check your spam folder if a delivery email doesn’t arrive. You can contact our support team with your order details if you need help. Never email payment-card details.

Prices and payments

The currency, price, applicable taxes, and total are shown at checkout before payment. Payments are processed through our payment provider. You authorize the charge you approve at checkout. Price changes do not change an already accepted order.

Digital purchase refund policy

Because our digital products provide downloadable content, all digital sales are final, and we do not offer change-of-mind refunds, returns, or exchanges once access has been provided, except where required by applicable law.

If your file is missing, corrupted, inaccessible, or materially different from its description, contact our support team with your order details. We’ll investigate and provide an appropriate remedy, which may include restoring access, replacing the file, or issuing a refund when required. Nothing in these Terms limits statutory consumer rights.

Permitted use

Unless the product listing expressly grants a broader license, your purchase gives you a personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to download and print the purchased content for your own or your household’s noncommercial use. You may use a printing service to make those permitted copies.

You may not resell, redistribute, upload publicly, share the download link or digital file outside your household, or sell copies or derivative products without written permission. Ownership of the copyright remains with the respective rights holder. Contact our support team about classroom, group, or commercial permissions.

Third-party purchases and links

Some links take you to Amazon or another independent retailer. Purchases there are subject to that retailer’s checkout, delivery, return, and privacy policies. Our direct-sale refund policy does not govern those purchases.

Newsletter

If you separately subscribe, we may email you book releases, publishing news, and offers. You can unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email. Opting out of marketing does not prevent necessary purchase receipts, requested file delivery, or responses to your support requests.

Killifish Publishing text-message program

If you separately opt in to marketing texts, Killifish Publishing may send recurring promotional messages about book releases, publishing news, and offers to the mobile number you provide, including messages sent using automated technology.

If you separately opt in to customer-care texts, we may text you about your orders, digital-download access, and support requests. That consent does not enroll you in marketing texts.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase. You must be at least 18 and the owner or authorized user of the number provided.

Reply STOP to opt out. You may receive one confirmation of your opt-out. Reply HELP for help or contact our support team. You may also contact us to withdraw consent. If you change or give up your number, notify us so we can update our records.

Delivery is not guaranteed and may depend on your carrier and device. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. Changes to these Terms do not authorize messages beyond the consent you provided.

Website use and availability

You may not use the website unlawfully, interfere with its operation, or infringe another person’s rights. We aim to keep product information accurate and services available, but occasional errors or interruptions may occur. Contact us about an error so we can address it.

To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free website operation. Nothing here excludes warranties, remedies, or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms prospectively by posting a new effective date and providing additional notice where required. The Terms presented when you purchase govern that purchase unless a lawful agreed change applies.
